CLASSIC CAR FAIR CIUDAD DE OVIEDO 2010
A new edition of the International Classic Car Fair Ciudad de Oviedo, the
most important in Northern Spain, is being held in September 18th-19th at the
local Sports Center, as usual.
Apart from the traditional flea market of parts, automobilia and classic cars
for sale we are also having a whole range of special activities. The tribute to
Asturian race driver Julio Gonzalez Pola will be the most outstanding of them.
He drove a Ferrari 125 in the late forties being the first international race for La
Scuderia out of Italy in the Peña-Rhin G.P.(Barcelona).
A Rolls-Royce V-12 engine used in the british Bristol Beaufighters, working,
a photographic exhibition on 2010 Amelia Island Concours d´Elegance, and the
launching of the book A history of the Automobile in Asturias (1890-1965) are
also in schedule.
The 9th Motorbike Starting will take place and we will be commemorating the
arrival of the first car to Asturias in 1890.
Spots are free for exhibitors and the Fair will be open from 10 a.m – 21.00 p.m.
Admission is free for younger than 16 and older than 75.
